Joel is from the Ch'ol indian group but is living here in San Cristobal. He speaks Ch'ol and Spanish fluently and is learning some English. He and Nathan go way back to 1996 when the Terrell gang first came to Chiapas. He and his wife Zaremi have one little boy. God has gifted him in many ways; he is skilled in village medicine, leads worship with guitar and song, has experience as a youth pastor, and traslates and interprets between Ch'ol and Spanish. He led Amin to Christ and is one year older than Nathan.
